Privacy policy

The short version

We have no accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no comment system and no ad network. We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not collect any that would be worth selling. The only optional tracking on the site is Google Analytics, and it does not load unless you press Accept.

What the Plan Builder stores

The Plan Builder runs entirely in your browser. Your sauce, zone, growing space, batch count and frost-date override are computed on your device and saved to your browser's localStorage so the plan is still there when you come back. That datanever leaves your device — there is no server that receives it, and we cannot read it.

When you copy a shareable plan link, your choices are encoded in the URL fragment (the part after #). Browsers do not send URL fragments to servers, so even sharing a plan does not send it to us.

Clearing your browser's site data for seedstosauce.com deletes the stored plan and your cookie choice. You can also press "Start over" on the builder.

Analytics — only with consent

If, and only if, you press Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4. We configure it with:

• anonymize_ip enabled;
• Google Signals disabled;
• ad personalization signals disabled.

It records page views and which /go/ affiliate links are clicked, in aggregate, so we can tell which parts of the pipeline are useful. Press Decline and no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set — your choice is remembered inlocalStorage, not in a tracking cookie.

What we never collect

• Names, email addresses, postal addresses or phone numbers — there is no form that asks.
• Payment information. We never handle a transaction; Amazon does.
• Precise location. Your USDA zone is something you pick from a dropdown, not something we detect.
• Anything that would let us identify you personally.

Amazon

When you click a buy link you leave this site for Amazon.com, and Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply from that point. Amazon sets its own cookie to attribute the referral to us. We receive aggregate commission reporting from Amazon — order totals and item counts, never customer identities.

Hosting

This site is static and served by Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of delivering and protecting the site, per its own policies. We do not maintain our own server logs.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, and similar laws elsewhere) you have rights to access, correct, delete and port personal information about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the substance of the change is described here rather than quietly edited in.
